Interview with Andreas Zurbruegg, Wiesendangen

How did you hear about SISEC?

I saw the article in the Newspaper “20 Minuten”.

Did you plan a language stay before you heard about SISEC?

Yes. I thought for a long time about a language stay but I didn’t know that I could combine it with hockey.

What was your first impression of Canada and Canadians?

The people in Calgary are very friendly and open. It’s pleasant to live here.

Was SISEC helpful in getting you used to your new place?

Evelyn showed me the city and all the important places. She told me where to find whatever I needed.

What are you expecting from your language stay? What is your goal?

My goals are clear. I  want to improve every day, on the ice as well as with my English.

You are also here to play Hockey. What’s your experience so far?

The attitude to the practice is different to the attitude in Switzerland. The coaches push you harder in practice and want to see improvements every time you practice.  I only practiced and played Shinny Hockey and did not play on a team.

How important is sport in your life?

Sport is a big part of my life. The importance for me is, that I don’t forget to have fun in the sport.

How do you like the FOCUS International Language School?

I like this school. The teachers can help you in every sphere.

What has been your most positive experience since you arrived?

My most positive experience is that I have made a huge improvement in hockey.
