How did you hear about SISEC? A friend told me about SISEC, and I looked it up on the internet and was interested in the program. Did you plan a language stay before you heard about SISEC? Yes. I wanted to play hockey in another country, or the French part of Switzerland. What was your first impression of Canada and Canadians? Very positive. The Canadians are very friendly and helpful. In spite of the size, it is very easy to find your way around Calgary. Was SISEC helpful in getting you used to your new place? SISEC showed me the city, the school and the different sports centers. Afterwards, I made rapid progress and now know the city. What are you expecting from your language stay? What is your goal? My goal is to learn the language. I will make the first certificate here in Calgary in December. My goal in hockey is to improve my play consistently. How old were you when you began playing hockey, and how often do you train per week? I began with hockey when I was 18 years old. I practice twice a week. How important is sport in your life? It is very important. I train very much and hard. I enjoy seeing my progress. How do you like the FOCUS International Language School? At the beginning, I had my concerns as I never enjoyed going to school in the past. Surprisingly, I am happy and pleased and am having fun at my classes. What has been your most positive experience since you arrived? It was the Stampede week. The entire city of Calgary was dressed Western, and everyone is in a party mood. |
